March Trendsetters

Can we say it enough?! Spring is here! We have had the mildest of winters this year and that has led to a shift in Midwestern fashion at least. Shedding our heavy winter parkas for pieces that are lighter and layer was how we spent the winter, so what are we looking for this spring? Here are 5 spring trends to be on the lookout for…
1. In Tiers
We are talking ruffles, big sleeves, and pleating anything that flounces when you walk is very in. From skirts, to dresses, to tops tiers are making the rounds and we love it. Flaunt those ruffles!

2. Not your grandma’s crochet...
Brands like Free People must be celebrating this spring with the emergence of the crochet and knit trend. To be honest we are too because all of our lovely consignors bring in tons of Free People, Anthropologie, and more. Knit wear is no longer just for the beach or lounging companies are making ready to wear pieces for the everyday.

3. Feeling hot?...
That’s right hot pants are back and more fashionable than ever. Coming in this spring in denim, chambray, leather, and crochet. Huge design houses like Chanel jumped on the hot pant train styling theirs with black sheer tights. So if you love a good short short this spring is for you!

4. 60s Curtains & Wallpaper...
Spring florals are so over this season, instead, look to '60s and '70s wallpaper for your print fix. Retro prints ruled the runways—bringing both major color and pattern to all collections. Serving up mod home decor realness, vintage wallpaper (and couch) prints were channeled in many designer house collections.

5. Culotte Heaven...
These wide leg cropped wonders are here for this spring. We love a good paper bag waist or cargo style pockets to add a little more to pant. This trend isn’t shocking due to the heavy 60s and 70s influence in prints and cuts of other items. Don’t know how to get your culotte on?? Not to worry we will style them as we see them!
